Devro (Scotland) Limited, is one of the world’s leading producers of manufactured casings for the food industry. Based in Moodiesburn and Bellshill the company employs 450 people.

We provide a safe working environment which attracts and retains talented people. The company holds a number of awards from both the British Safety Council (BSC) and the Royal Society of Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA). Our manufactured casings and related products are made from collagen, one of the most common forms of naturally occurring protein, using highly sophisticated and complex food processing technologies. The broad range of our collagen technologies underpins the performance of our global brands; Devro, Coria, Cutisin and Edicol.

Devro (Scotland) Ltd is part of Devro, a public limited company registered in Scotland. Outside Scotland, the group has manufacturing facilities in Australia, the Czech Republic and the US. Devro’s wide geographic coverage and comprehensive technical know-how ensure that the company is well placed to meet the demands of global markets. Devro also manufactures and markets collagen films, plastic casings, thin-film products and purified collagen raw materials for medical and cosmetic use. In addition, the group distributes a number of related products, principally cellulose, fibrous and plastic casings.

As well as manufacturing facilities, Devro services world markets from strategically based commercial offices in four other countries and through an extensive network of distributors and agents.
